This is a magnificent vintage Navajo inlaid dancing kachina silver concho belt. This phenomenal belt contains 9 outstanding inlaid silver conchos with a larger inlaid silver buckle. Each of the conchos measure around 3-1/4" X 2-1/4" and the marvelous buckle measures a whopping 3-7/8" X 2-3/4". Each amazing concho and buckle includes very detailed chip inlaid turquoise and coral stones that are two kachinas dancing around forn plants. Such beautiful and intricate inlay workmanship. Bordering each concho and buckle are fascinating silver sun stampings. I absolutely love the old natural patina on this belt as well as the detailing of the chip inlaid patterns. The total length of the belt measures around 34" long. Handmade by Navajo artist, Gilbert Damon . Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century . Sturdy 608 grams.
