This is a museum quality vintage Navajo inlaid silver concho belt being one of the finest concho belts we have collected this year. This belt consists of 9 impressive large hand inlaid silver conchos with a superior same size inlaid silver buckle. The conchos and buckle each measure around 3" X 2-1/2" and each concho and buckle contains a remarkable different inlaid design. The designs on this belt consist of horse riding, native women weaving beautiful Indian rugs, ceremonies, a hogan, and a horse buggy visiting a trading post. The detailing is absolutely phenomenal and intricate. This belt is incredibly heavy. The inlay on the belt consists of opal, mother of pearl, natural Blue Gem turquiose, coral and onyx. Signed by Navajo artist, Benny Boyd . Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. This belt will fit a waist size between 38-1/4" and 46-3/4". Sturdy 710 grams.
